Job description
The scheduling coordinator for our home health agency is responsible for meeting the needs of customers regarding scheduling caregivers, updating customer and caregiver information, and acting as a point person for referrals and communications among referral sources, customers, nursing, caregivers, departments, and management.
Duties include:
-Creates, maintains, and updates a 24-hour schedule for caregivers utilizing an electronic medical recordkeeping system, including entering daily schedule changes, sick calls, creating schedules for new customers and scheduling assessments with nursing and clinical staff.
-Maintains accurate information regarding personnel status by working with Payroll to ensure current and correct payroll.
Receives incoming calls related to all aspects of scheduling and coordination of customers and field staff.
-Interacts professionally with customers and their families and provides explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary.
-Fosters and maintains good working relationships with referral sources, caregivers, and office team
-Reviews referrals and enters all relevant data into EMR
-Provides regular feedback to all departments to address issues in a timely and effective manner
-Creates, maintains and collaborates on reports detailing current customer and field staff statuses and needs
-Utilizes telephone, email, texts, EMR or other platforms to communicate relevant information and contact staff
Qualifications:
High school diploma
Scheduling experience
Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
Healthcare experience
Medical Terminology
Ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function in stressful situations
Reliable attendance
Micro Soft Suite proficiency
Physical requirements - Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, telephone, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in an office setting and moderate to loud occasionally.

Monday-Friday in the office and on-call hours as assigned
